Nanny Testimonials
To whom it may concern,
I would highly recommend Kika as a childcare provider. She took care of my son, Kaiqi, from when he was three months old in late 2010 to when he was ten months old. We were sad when she moved away to Sacramento.
Not only is she both loving and firm, Kika is also very competent and organized.
Kaiqi thrived under her care. She talked and sang to him in Portuguese as we requested. Kaiqi as a baby picked up the language. For example, he would high-five when he heard “de Cinco.” She often took him to the park to enjoy the outdoors.
Seeing her interaction with her own two children, I could tell she is very caring, and yet never over indulgent. As a result, her kids are well mannered. Kaiqi looks up to her youngest son Sean, who is three years older.
Kika is very effective. When she first started, I asked her to get CPR training and she completed it in two weeks. While caring for Kaiqi, Kika also cooked dinner for us while keeping her home clean and neat. I am impressed how well she juggled these responsibilities, and is always cheerful and calm.
By the way she is an excellent cook. I envy the children who will be enjoying her food at her day care center.
All in all, children under her care are very fortunate because they are well cared for, and they learn proper behaviors; not to mention the bonus Portuguese as well as yummy and nutritious food.

To Whom It May Concern:
For eleven years I had the amazing privilege of having Kika Medveki in my life as my babysitter/nanny. She came to work for my family when I was in Pre-school, and was by my side until the day I entered high school. When I look back, I can’t imagine a childhood without her.
Kika was a part of my life every single day: picking me up from school, making the most amazing dinners, and simply being a wonderful person to sit down and talk with. As the years went by she had two kids of her own, Brianna and Sean, who became the little siblings that I never had.
The day that I found out that Kika was moving and could no longer work for us I shut myself in my room and cried for hours. Imagining life without her was terrifying for I had come to love her as a second Mom. Looking back at it today, as a Freshman in college, I realize just how good I had it. People like Kika only come around once in a while, and anyone who has spent anytime with her knows this. For me, Kika was never someone who just “worked for us”, but she was a person that I loved seeing after a long day of school. Kika treated me like I was her own child, and I remember fond nights of “Brazilian fiestas” at her house where she would cook the most amazing Brazilian food I had ever tasted and host me and my friends. Furthermore, my parents trusted her so much that in the summer of 2008 they let me and my best friend fly to Brazil and spend two weeks with Kika and her family (an experience that I will never forget)!
All in all, I could sincerely not imagine my childhood without her. She has helped to mold me into the person I am today and continues to be a part of my life. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at Lmk316@lehigh.edu
Sincerely,
Lauren Kiesel

Kika Medvecki Letter of Reference
Kika came to work for me when my children were four and six years old. I work part time and my husband works full time so I needed a babysitter for my kids and someone to help run the household when I was at work. Little did I know what a gem I would have in my life for the next eleven years when Kika came to work for me.
Kika is smart, energetic, kind, warm, fun, a fantastic cook and organized all at the same time. It is rare that one person embodies all of those wonderful attributes but in Kika’s case it is true. Kika was also always able to strike just the right tone of helping my children gain independence but at the same time being warm and loving. Not only that, her moral structure was so good that I really feel that Kika became like a second mother to my children that I could completely trust. Those eleven years flew by and I was so sad when I found out that she had to move from Los Angeles for her husband’s new job. Luckily by the time Kika left all of the good lessons that she was able to convey were a part of my children’s lives because they were now 15 and 17 years old and young adults. As a testament to the strength of her relationship she formed with my children, they are both still in touch with her on a regular basis and she and her family visit when they come to Los Angeles and my children have seen her when they are in Northern California where she moved. Kika visits Brazil every other year and offered to bring my daughter and a friend on one of her trips. I felt so comfortable with Kika that I allowed my daughter and her best friend to accompany Kika and her family for two weeks to Brazil when they were 16 years old and they had a wonderful time.
While Kika worked for me, she had both of her children and started her own family with her husband. My children also came to know and love her children (who were much younger) and I got to witness what an incredible mother Kika became to her own children. We knew this would be the case since we had all been the recipient of her great mothering skills at our house, but it was still fun to see.
When Kika told me that she was planning on opening up a day care center I told her that I thought it was a perfect idea for her. She loves children, she is super organized, clean and neat and I know she will run a loving and organized environment for other people’s children. Honestly, I feel that anybody would be lucky to have Kika touch their children’s lives during their formative years. To this day, we all miss Kika and feel really blessed that she was in our lives for as long as we were lucky enough to have her!

Dear Kika,
Abby is starting Kindergarten in August and will be attending their summer program to get her ready starting on July 5th. Not that she really needs to “get ready”, but just so she can get used to the school.
We are sorry to report that Abby’s last day with Little Learners will be Friday, July 1, 2016.
We are supper excited and sad that we have to leave. We really wish we could have found you sooner, but all paths cross for a reason and at times needed obviously.
We are happy to provide references in the future, if needed. Just to let us know. Or use this letter with our permission.
We would love to write a review for your website if you’d like. Abby has truly thrived in her 18 months with you and know she is very ready for kindergarten, darn probably for first grade. We really appreciate the values and lessons that you help to empower her and all the children as it definitely mirrors ours at home, -except she listens to you better.
Our final payment is attached for the week of Tue May 31 – June 3, 2016.
I believe we are prepaid for the two week vacation and two week deposit. Please let me know otherwise.
Thank you,
Joleen Hottel
